The Palestinian Bar Association and the Official Gazette Bureau Sign a Memorandum of Understanding
On Tuesday, April 30, 2024, Attorney Fadi Abbas, President of the Palestinian Bar Association, and Counselor Reem Abu Al-Rub, President of the Official Gazette Bureau, signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the two institutions at the Bureau’s headquarters. The memorandum aims to strengthen cooperation, enhance the integration of roles between the parties, exchange legal expertise and skills, and promote joint efforts in research and continuing legal education.
President Abbas affirmed that the signing of this memorandum reflects the ongoing partnership and cooperation between the Bar Association and the Official Gazette Bureau. He emphasized the Bar’s commitment to maintaining and deepening this relationship in service of the broader legal community, particularly fellow lawyers and legal professionals. He also praised the Bureau’s role in fostering a robust legal environment, especially in the field of legislative drafting.
For her part, Counselor Abu Al-Rub highlighted the significance of signing this memorandum, which seeks to reinforce the principles of partnership and coordination among justice sector institutions—especially with the Bar Association as the primary home for Palestinian legal professionals. She noted that the strategic objective of this memorandum is to solidify the relationship with the Bar Association and to implement its provisions in order to develop mutual legal capacities.
