Companies
Registering a business activity as a company offers numerous benefits, the most important of which include establishing an independent economic entity, enhancing credit capacity, consolidating and increasing efforts and capital, protecting the trade name, and professionalizing the business. Additionally, there are many other complex benefits. Companies are governed by Decree Law No. 42 of 2021 regarding companies. This current law has classified companies into several forms, as follows:
1. The ordinary public company.
2. The regular limited company.
3. Private Joint Stock Company Limited.
4. Public Joint Stock Company Limited.
5. The holding company.
6. The civil company.
Trademarks
The law offers protection for trademarks if they are registered with the competent departments in case of infringement of trademark rights. Trademarks are regulated by Trademark Law No. 33 of 1953. This law grants administrative powers of registration and amendment to the Trademark Registrar in the Ministry of National Economy.
