Israeli Forces Demolish the Entrance of Tulkarm Courthouse, Causing Damage to Judicial Operations
Today, Israeli occupation forces attacked the building of the Tulkarm Court of First Instance and Magistrate's Court, demolishing and bulldozing the entrance as part of the destruction that has accompanied their incursion into the city since midday Monday and continuing to the present.
In a related context, the Jenin Court of First Instance and Magistrate's Court has remained closed since Tuesday, January 23, 2024, due to the ongoing military incursions into the city by Israeli occupation forces.
Judicial operations in other courts across the northern governorates have also been severely affected due to the difficulty faced by judges and staff in commuting, caused by the closure of checkpoints and roadblocks between Palestinian cities and villages.
The High Judicial Council continues to monitor the situation on a daily basis and is working to reassign judges and staff to ensure the provision of judicial services to the extent possible under current circumstances.
