Fifteen Peace Judges Swear the Legal Oath Before the President and Members of the Supreme Judicial Council
Fifteen judges swore the legal oath before the President of the Supreme Judicial Council, Counselor Imad Selim Saad, and the council’s members.
President Mahmoud Abbas had issued a presidential decree appointing them as peace judges, based on a nomination from the Supreme Judicial Council.
In turn, the President of the Supreme Judicial Council, Counselor Saad, along with the council’s members, congratulated the new judges and wished them success in serving justice and upholding its banner. He emphasized the magnitude of the responsibility entrusted to them and the significant tasks awaiting them.
The appointment of the peace judges aligns with the council’s policies to supply Palestinian courts with highly competent judges, meeting the increasing demand due to the growing number of citizens resorting to the judiciary and the rise in cases registered in the regular courts. This reflects the public’s trust in the Palestinian judicial system.
